SEOUL, April 19 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co. said Friday that it has clinched a deal to supply container cranes for a major port construction project in Singapore.

The South Korean shipbuilder, an affiliate of Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, said it recently signed a contract with Singpore's PSA to deliver four container cranes for the Tuas Mega Port project.

Hyundai Samho did not reveal the value of the deal, which includes an option to supply four additional cranes, saying only that it expects to complete the work by 2022.

Hyundai Samho said its cranes will be equipped with the latest technologies that can be remotely controlled, adding that they will be able to handle massive volumes of containers at the new port.

Hyundai Samho has delivered 128 container cranes to major ports in the world since 1985.
